If there isn’t a Weichert Real Estate affiliate brokerage in your market, there may be one by year’s end. As the newly minted president and chief operating officer of the company, one Bill Scavone’s goals is to grow the number of franchise offices across the country.
Since launching it’s franchise division in 2001, Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc., has steadily grown to include 340 affiliates in 39 states. The company added 53 new franchise affiliates to its network in 2016 alone. Scavone, who took over as president following Martin Rueter’s departure last month, says he plans to increase the number of franchise development staff that support affiliate brokerages. He also wants to focus on providing more “high touch, personal coaching” for franchisees. “There are tremendous growth opportunities ahead for the Weichert franchise system, and I am honored to lead such a talented team to drive these initiatives,” says Scavone.
Scavone has served as Weichert’s senior vice president since 2005, and COO since 2008. He led the franchise sales division, overseeing the team of transition experts who help franchisees convert to Weichert. As president, Scavone hopes to continue to develop business and marketing tools that will help affiliates grow their companies and increase sales.

“I am excited to be given this leadership opportunity and a chance to grow the Weichert affiliate footprint nationally,” says Scavone.
